I am always looking for a way to make my desk clutter-free, organized, comfortable and to make sure I have everything I need at an arm’s reach, so I DON’T have to get up. This leads us to the broad category of desktop accessories. There are so many out there, so how do you choose what will work best for your customer?
Know your Customer
Every customer will have different needs and goals for their promotional campaign, find out what they are.
- What is the outcome that your customer is trying to achieve? If they are looking for daily prolonged visibility and usefulness of the giveaway, you are in the right category!
- Who is your customers’ target audience? Hone into precisely on what the brand is looking to achieve and learn more about their audience’s interest and habits. It may be surprising, but this information may lead you to the perfect promotional desktop accessory with ease or may bluntly show you that you are looking in the wrong catagory.
- Know their price point! No matter how great the item may be, if it is above what they are willing to spend you will most often lose them, and if it is way below the price point, they are looking for your offering will be perceived as not good enough. There is always an exception with lower priced items that are truly unique but staying on point or most effectively showing a range of items may work best. Everyone loves to see the “good, better, best,” scenario.
